  • NAHBS 2013: English Cycles TT

Rob English sure is talented. The versatility of his builds really caught my attention; between this crazy Di2 time trial bike and the murdered-out great divide tourer, I’d say he’s got the ability to produce nearly anything you could dream up. This TT bike is so custom it hurts (probably hurts a bit to ride too). The first question I asked was “where’s the battery?” and Rob pointed to the seat tube right by the BB junction. With this hidden battery you’ve gotta have a way to charge the thing right? Take a look a the seat mast below – that little black dot is actually a USB port for charging. Think that’s wild? Well Rob even hacked the Di2 electronics to create those button shifters you see at the ends of the aero bars.  Oh yeah, those cranks are a one-off design too, designed to further shrink your Q-factor. See all the details below and lookout for more 2013 NAHBS coverage later on.
