FAST!

My friend Rodney posted this video up on Facebook last night and I couldn’t resist sharing it (It’s from a Keirin racing school in Japan). It took a little while for me to be impressed until all of a sudden these guys were going mach-10 while essentially going no where! I read a few of the Youtube comments and actually started laughing out loud when seeing commenters arguing about how this video was “obviously sped up”. Kids, this is how you train to kick-ass as a Keirin racer.

Sunrise Cycles: SS 26″/700c

Sunrise Cycles Japan

This beast is stunning and looks like it would tear anything from dirt roads to singletrack apart. I can’t read Japanese, but from what it looks like this bike is designed to clear both a 26″ mountain tire (as pictured) or some super-fat 700c’s. For more information (as long as you can read it), check out the Sunrise Cycles blog, Flickr and take a closer look at this brazed beauty below <-alliteration.

Sunrise Cycles: New-Bu’s Fixed F*O*T

Love the look of this bike. The colors are definitely a little bit loud but you can’t deny how clean this bike looks. Sunrise Cycles, again pumping out some amazing work. Check out some more photos as well as the making of this frame here.

Limited Phil Wood Track Hubs for Tsunami Relief

A lot has been going on since we’ve been ‘away’ but nothing near as tragic or devastating as what’s happened in Japan. Catching back up with things it’s amazing to see so many people eager to help in any way they can, even Phil Wood Co.

Starting some time this evening, these limited hubs will be made available for purchase with proceeds going directly to Tsunami Relief in Japan. Go HERE for details and purchase yourself a pair.

Beauties: Orange Nagasawa Track

p: Mobius Cycle

This bike reminds me of the ‘Pumpkin Spasher’, a lovely fixed-townie we had at The Old Spokes Home with a similar look to this gorgeous Nagasawa. More photos after the jump and be sure to check out the full set at Mobius Cycle’s Flickr.
