    photos: JP Bevins

This Rosko cyclocross bike belongs to King Kog ‘cross rider JP Bevins. JP is a photographer currently residing in Brooklyn and used to shoot for the esteemed Independent Fabrication. As you can see, he’s also shot these photos of his recently acquired King Kog team ‘cross bike, built by none other than Seth Rosko. The frame is a mix of Columbus Life and Zona tubing and is dressed with a slew of US-made components including a No Tubes wheel set, Chris King 17 headset, Thomson stem & post and Paragon seat collar.

The saddle and bar tape match (not to mention, the RD & housing), but do you have the fresh white kicks to complete the trifecta?

  • Josh’s Cervelo Super Prodigy

    cervelo super prodigy

Damn, I’m glad my buddy Josh finally joined Facebook. Josh has been one of my best buds for while, before he ever had any interest in bikes, let alone became a co-owner of a newly successful NYC bike messenger known as Clementine Courier. Before joining the underworld that is social media, we’d talk every month or so via telephone for hours (watch out man, I’ll be calling you soon)…both filling each other in on all the excitement (believe me, I can still find some in Burlington) and reminiscing about old high school memories. I’ve taken countless trips to the city, visiting friends, checking out shops, cruising with Josh…and whether it’s tagging along on his daily runs, or trying to shake morning sickness after a night of drinking, – he’s always positive and knows how to show his guests a good time.

Anyway…I’m planning on getting down there to visit soon! Until then, here’s Josh Rovner’s newly built Cervelo Super Prodigy race bike, equipped for the extremes with a Campagnolo Super Record 11 grouppo among other choice bits…now only if I could get some more photos (cough, cough – you better still have this when I come visit). This beauty is pictured in front of King Kog – our friends down in BK.

  • Week Off Part 3: King Kog &Tall Bike

    Hunt Manley Tall Bike

Earlier this month, Hunt and I had a week off to head down to Jersey and the city for a little visit. While riding around Brooklyn, we decided to pay Gina and Shawn at King Kog a visit. As soon as we got there it started raining so we hung out inside and did some frimping and chatting. While inside we came across this wild tall bike they had on loan from a friend who’s currently touring on another tall bike he’s made – crazy. They told us to test ride it, so we took it for a spirited stroll down the block and over a few curbs – you’d be S.O.L. trying to wipe the doo-doo eating grin off either of our faces. Thanks guys!

If you missed the first and second reports from this journey, have a look at those and be sure to browse the other shots below.
