This was probably my favorite purpose-built bike at NAHBS this past weekend. This Moots comes equipped to carry all the necessities for proper trail maintenance. From the front, you’ve got a rack carrying some refreshments, a shovel holder, then a custom frame bag for your sundries and a rear rack specially made to fit a chainsaw. Hey guys, did I mention this bike has a damn chainsaw on the back of it? Very rad. Get up closer below.

I’ve always wanted a Moots. Until I have an extra 3k for a frame of my dreams, I’ll have to stick with posting about them. This right here is one tall Vamoots road bike. It was built in 1997 by Kent Erikson and is 100% titanium and features a Moots post and stem, a Campagnolo Chorus 9-speed grouppo, and some Mavic Ksyrium SLs. Say what you will about those IRD bars; this guy’s clearly got his fit dialed. See some more of this beauty below.

A Moots has been on my list of bikes to own ever since my buddy Ryan told me where their name came from when I was just a middle-schooler. I’d love a Moots Ti 29er or road bike someday.

Wow. The Moots Expedition is really built to go the distance. A bike like this is meant for adventures with no destination or itinerary; just epic trekking. The Expedition features a about 1″ of travel provided by the soft-tail pivot build into the seat-stays. The guys from Dirtrag snagged a little interview on the Moots Expedition, listen to that here.
