A gorgeous ’49 R. Herse randonneur bike from the Old Spokes Home here in Burlington, Vermont. If you think the pictures make this look nice, you should do yourself a real favor and go check it out in person.

“Extremely rare R Herse of the late 1940s {1949} . 56,5 center meters center to center seat tube, top tube 55,5 center meters center to center. Fully chromed model Vitus tubing as used for the top of the line R. H. bikes for 1947/48/49. Blue lining and lettering. Pelissier plume (feather) hubs to Mavic 650 rims, Rene Herse stem {note owners name engraved to stem top}, Cyclo rear derailleur, Lefol Martele fenders and chain guard, early single ring Stronglite crank .  This bike is presented in pretty much authentic, un-restored, condition with the exception of new tires.”
