It might have taken the Italians a little while to warm up to mountain bikes (or ATBs at the time), but when they did they sure built some fine bikes. This 1990 Pinarello Antelao is a great example as its lugged steel frame is composed of Columbus off-road tubing and dressed with Campy bits galore. Campagnolo Euclid and Centuar complete the component grouppo; be sure to get a closer look at this bike below – the details are superb.

Wow, what do we have here? This 1985 Pinarello Record has been completely restored, polished and given a heavy dose of TLC. A completely chromed Columbus SL frameset is dressed to impress with a Campagnolo Super Record grouppo and a 6-speed Maillard 700 Super freewheel. Campy Record low flange hubs to Mavic CX18 rims keep this an ultra light build, said to be under 8kg as pictured.

Back in the days of middle/high school I worked at a shop called The Sports People and after being employed for a bit, my father soon became interested in cycling. So we set him up properly with a Pinarello Surprise 7005 aluminum frame, a Campagnolo Veloce 9-speed gruppo, and some Mavic Cosmos wheels I had off a different bike.
Eight years later and the bike is still as pretty as the day it was set up. Enjoy a few more photos below.
