Rapha: City Riding Rogues

rapha city riding jacket - city riding rogues

I really like this idea here. Rapha has recently launched a little series known as City Riding Rogues which highlights some of their favorite urban cyclists dressed in goods from latest Rapha autumn and winter range. Here’s a dapper dude dressed in the City Riding Jacket, Track Top and City Trousers.

The Nobeyama Cyclocross race in Japan looks like a blast – plus you can’t beat that scenery. The race took place at the Nobeyama Farmyard Tourist Ranch located at the bottom of the Yatsugatake Mountains. Read up on the race and some of Rapha Japan‘s riders over on the Rapha site.

A Moots has been on my list of bikes to own ever since my buddy Ryan told me where their name came from when I was just a middle-schooler. I’d love a Moots Ti 29er or road bike someday.

Here are some shots of the road bike Moots built for the Rapha Continental via the Rapha site – see this bike in full below.

Rapha Rides Little Switzerland

I love keeping up with all the Rapha films and their travels. Not only do they make you want to get out and get epic, they also accurately portray the rigors and rewards you regularly experience while riding. Here’s the latest from Rapha in Little Switzerland.

The Fränkische Schweiz (aka Franconian Switzerland or Little Switzerland) is a delightful place to ride in the summer. Its landscape made up of forests, jagged rock faces, brutally sharp climbs and winding rivers, it was named after the obvious comparisons to its larger cousin. It also just happens to boast the highest density of breweries in the world, with hundreds of Biergärten to boot.

Rapha: The Hidden Alps

The Hidden Alps from Rapha on Vimeo.

Rapha’s newest short features a side-by-side look at their riders tackling the “Hill of Widows” in contrast with the 2o11 Giro. Rapha is going to be releasing their fall/winter lines in the coming weeks to be sure to check back for more on that. -B

On the photoshoot for the new Rapha Autumn/Winter range we took our riders on to the steep, scarred and historic slopes of the Colle delle Finestre, the ‘Hill of Windows’. This climb, somewhat hidden beneath the reputations of other cols, is as tough as it is visually striking. The Piedmontese military engineered the roads here in the days before Italian unification, building a string of forts to safeguard the region.
